Ashdown Art 10th Annual August Drop-In Art Event and Exhibition

25th – 31st August (Bank Holiday Monday) are the planned dates for this annual event in the Ashdown Arts calendar. Situated on the Forest Way, the Forest Row Scout HQ is an ideal venue for combining an Art Exhibition with art in action activities

The length and location of the Drop-In event allows time for those taking part and visitors to take on a multitude of art activities. Visitors involvement is not restricted to children, though children are welcome if accompanied by adults. The 2025 exhibition included four artists and two crafters, as key holder I had to be there. The exhibition and art activities prove popular with locals and those passing on the Forest Way. In 2025 we were visited by 187 adults and 39 children. A feature of the exhibition is the number of canine visitors, though most do not take part in the art creation. 2025 was particularly active, with mono-prints being a major feature of the workspace. I completed two acrylic abstracts and a number of mono-prints. I also sold an Ashdown Plein-air painting.
